Accountant
Job Title: Accountant- Full Time
Department: Administration Office

Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.
- Prepares and posts accounting entries and ensures proper GL coding of cash receipts.
- Maintains and reconciles subsidiary ledgers.
- Maintains the fixed asset ledger.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement adjustments related to financial activity.
- Supports the coordination and reconciliation of tuition related funding sources.
- Assists in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Ensures that financial record keeping is in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Assists in the preparations of the annual audit.
- Reconciles contributions between Advancement and Accounting department computer software.
- Reconciles revenue generated from special events and activities.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
- Responsible for E-Rate and other grant programs.
- Creates/runs Enrollment and State reports as required or requested.
- Acts as a backup to Online Registration for enrollment.
- Acts as a backup to accounts payable functions.
- Creates and maintains accounting records for athletics, activities, and parent groups.
- Assists with the accounts payable, payroll, and administration assistant staff.
- Coordinates miscellaneous accounts receivable billings and payments.
- Assists in training when requested.
- Special projects on an as-needed basis.
- Reports and recommends financial actions to the Director of Finance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced analytical skills.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Strong MS Office (Excel, Word) and Google skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP & Management Reporter, Blackbaud Tuition Management & Raiser's Edge, and Infinite Campus preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years relevant experience.
- Previous audit preparation experience preferred.
- Experience in a computerized accounting environment.

Director of Communications and Marketing
Title: Director of Communications and Marketing
Reports To: President
Job Summary: Responsible for developing the communication and marketing strategies that enhance Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools brand with key constituencies.
Start Date: August 1, 2024 (Position open until filled. Review of candidates will begin immediately.)
Duties and Responsibilities: Promotes the mission of the Catholic faith and Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools. Responsible for news media relations, publications and online media. Oversees the development and implementation of BHCS marketing and communication efforts including the BHCS website, social media and annual marketing plan. Oversee the writing, design and production of print and digital publications such as alumni magazine and e-newsletters. Oversees the quality and consistency of all external communications, including advertising, event publicity, and news. Provides video work for enrollment, advancement and marketing purposes. Maintain consistency with brand identity, digital communications, web design and communications. Supports the Director of Enrollment with publication of recruitment materials, messages, ESA notices and tuition information. Supports the Office of Advancement with fundraising materials and promotional publications as well as select fundraising efforts. All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Three years minimum of marketing, public relations and/or media relations experience preferred. Experience in marketing editing software like Adobe Photoshop or Canva preferred.
- Proven experience including budgetary responsibilities. All applicants will be considered.

Middle School English Language Arts-Mater Dei
Job Title/Location: Middle School English Language Arts- Mater Dei

Primary Purpose:
To form students academically, emotionally, and spiritually to best serve others.
Summary:
Mater Dei School is seeking an engaging and motivated educator to join our middle school team in the capacity of 6-8 ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Our middle school ELA teacher is responsible for helping students develop their writing through the use of correct English grammar and punctuation, as well as their speaking and listening skills. Our middle school students learn to research, create presentations and critique the contents of text and other media.
Mater Dei students and staff enjoy a safe work and learning environment, high level of collaboration, 1:1 student devices, high test scores, small class size and supportive families.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required or Preferred:
- BA/BS degree in teaching from an accredited institution, or related field teaching.
